How do I apply for a Class 4 or Class 5 course?

Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents

Class 4 & 4 Auto

  1. Check that you meet the course prerequisites
  2. Enrol at our Service Centre during operating hours with the following documents:
    • NRIC or SingPass
    • Valid Class 3/ 3A QDL
  3. Apply for Class 4 PDL before your first practical lesson.

Class 5 

  1. Check that you meet the course prerequisites
  2. Enrol at our Service Centre during operating hours with the following documents:
    • NRIC or SingPass
    • Valid Class 4 QDL
  3. Apply for Class 5 PDL before your first practical lesson.

 

Work Pass Holders

Class 4 & 4 Auto

  1. Check that you meet the course prerequisites 
  2. The employer of the Work pass holders must submit an Employer Support Declaration via FormSG with the CorpPass.
  3. Wait for further instruction from Traffic Police upon successful completion. Click here to read more on Traffic Police website.
  1. Upon Traffic Police instructions to proceed enrolment, apply for Class 4 PDL through the Traffic Police website.
  2. Enrol at our Service Centre during operating hours with the following documents:
    • Work Permit, S Pass, E Pass or SingPass
    • Valid Class 4 QDL


Note: With effect from 15 September 2025, Class 3C licence holders must pass a road assessment before enrolling for a Class 4 licence. Those who fail the road assessment will have their Class 3C driving licence revoked. 

 

Class 5

  1. Check that you meet the course prerequisites
  2. Apply for a Class 5 PDL through the Traffic Police website
  3. Enrol at our Service Centre during operating hours with the following documents:
    1. Work Permit, S Pass, E Pass or SingPass
    2. Valid Class 4 QDL
    3. Signed company letter (except E Pass holders)
    4. Class 5 vehicle log card

If the PDL could not be applied earlier, you may reapply 2 hours after your eyesight test.

 

Course Structure

  • 1 classroom theory lesson in English or Mandarin
  • 5 practical lessons
  • Traffic Police test

  • Monday to Friday: 9.15 am to 6.30 pm
  • Saturday & Sunday: By appointment only
  • Closed on Public Holidays
