What must I do to renew my Class 4/ 5 driving licence if I am above the age 65?

Drivers aged 65 and above must undergo a medical checkup and be certified fit to drive by a Singapore medical practitioner to renew their driving licence.  The requirements must be completed within two months before the next birth date.


Completed medical examination reports must be submitted online or to TP Headquarters. Once the report has been accepted by Traffic Police, you may proceed to register online for the test at SSDC. 


 

You must pass the following test within 2 months before reaching your next birthday:

Age

Medical Examination

Proficiency Test Required

65 to 69

Certify ‘Fit’ by 

Medical Practitioner

Proficiency Driving Test (PDT)

70 to 74 

Enhance Proficiency Driving Test (EPDT)

You will not be allowed to drive a heavy vehicle if you failed to submit your medical examination report and/or pass the proficiency driving test before your birthday.
