What is simulator lesson about?

Modified on Tue, Oct 15 at 2:01 PM

All Class 2, 2A, 2B, 3 or 3A learner motorists are required to complete driving or riding simulator training before they are allowed to book their Practical Driving or Riding Tests. This is part of the Traffic Police’s continual efforts to help learner motorists better prepare for various road situations, and to inculcate good and safe driving habits in them.

Mandatory simulator training provides learner motorists with a realistic, experiential and immersive driving and riding experience, without being physically on the road. Learner motorists will also have the opportunity to practise defensive driving and riding in a safe and controlled environment. The scenarios used in the training are based on the top 10 causes of traffic accidents that often result in injuries, which include high-speed expressway cornering, cyclists in blind spots, and driving or riding in wet weather conditions.

Learner motorists are required to complete 3 modules of the simulator lessons.
